Mumbai: He is considered a legend in the Indian film industry, but megastar Amitabh Bachchan doesn’t seem to be as impressed with his acting skills and calls himself a ‘rotten actor’.
The comment has come after he has realised his mistake in one of the sequences in 2005 ‘Black’, in which he played a teacher called Debraj Sahay.
A few days back, the 70-year-old had asked the audience about the mistake that he did in the film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
“I was asking about the fault in my performance, in that scene, and not the other factors. And here is what the fault was,” Amitabh posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com.
‘Black’ revolves around a blind and deaf girl, played by Rani Mukerji, and her relationship with Sahay, her teacher, who later develops Alzheimer’s. Continue reading I am such a rotten actor: Amitabh Bachchan on mistake in ‘Black’

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is working alongside Aamir Khan in his upcoming film “Dhoom 3”, says the star is like a child on the sets of the movie
Bachchan is reprising his role of ACP Jai Dixit for the third time in the action franchise while Aamir plays the main antagonist. “It’s absolutely brilliant to be working with Aamir. You get to learn so much.
He is so much fun on the sets. He is like a child on the set, he is so involved and enthusiastic about everything,” Bachchan told.
When asked about his equation with Aamir during the shooting, Bachchan, 37 said, “I think every actor learns from other. As an actor you feed off the energies of each-other. I see my father still learning from a lot more junior actors than him.
So I think as an actor you learn from everybody and you should.” Bachchan said it was a challenge to play the same character thrice as he had to add new elements.
“The challenge is how do you repackage that same character and make it as interesting as possible. You can’t allow the audiences to say ‘Oh we have seen this earlier’.”
Bachchan does not find it boring to reprise his character again and again. He said he enjoyed the fun that Jai Dixit and Ali (Uday Chopra) have together in the film. He is reuniting with Abraham for the sequel of ‘Dostana’ which will have a new leading lady.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali missed Aishwarya Rai so much on the sets of Ram Leela that he kept calling Deepika Padukone: Ash
Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Aishwarya Rai have an equation of their own, thanks to their past professional association. This is what Deepika Padukone learned first hand as the director kept confusing her name with Aishwarya’s!
Our sources from the sets of the film says, `It is an open fact that Bhansali is very close to Aishwarya Rai as they have done three films together. It’s quite natural that he would miss her.
But it became evident more so when during the shooting, he would often end up calling Deepika, Ash! There have been so many occasions that after a shot Bhansali would say ‘Nice shot Ash’ or ‘Ash, let’s do the next scene like this’ while talking to Deepika.`
It would be his assistant directors who would nudge him and correct his error.
What’s amusing here is Deepika taking no offence, whatsoever. `After a point even Deepika understood and was cool with it, ` concludes the source.
Katrina Kaif, who showcased her seductive side in an earlier campaign for mango drink Slice, is now set to show her playful nature in the new ad. She is excited about it.
“As always, I am very excited to be part of the new Slice campaign – it’s an interesting concept that highlights the taste and superior experience of Mango Slice,” Katrina, who endorses the brand, said in a statement.
The commercial starts on a playful note with Katrina, a young man and another woman strolling in a beautiful meadow of flowers with picnic baskets. A foot-tapping remix of evergreen Bollywood number “Haal kaisa hai janab ka”, sung by Shalmali Kholgade, sets the mood with the appealing visuals hinting at a love triangle.
Katrina blind-folds the man, who chooses between Slice and another mango drink.
“The playfulness about the story is quite infectious and for the first time there is a hint of a love triangle,” said Katrina.
The new TV commercial will go on air Thursday.
