Denise Van Outen looked Strictly glamorous on Tuesday night as she attended the film premiere of her first leading role in the British comedy Run For Your Wife.
Dressed in a floor-length black gown with sheer lace panelling on the front and back, the star looked every inch the Hollywood starlet.The 38-year-old TV presenter completed her look with an elegant side bun and smoky eye makeup.
Just hours before walking the red carpet, Denise had threated on Twitter to wear her onesie. “Might walk the red carpet in my Onesie,” she told fans.
Minutes later the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant posted a picture of her wearing a onesie on the red carpet with co-star Kellie Shirley. She accompanied the photo with the caption: “Told ya!”.
Denise was also joined on the red carpet by costar Sarah Harding who also opted for a floor-length gown. The Girls Aloud singer wore a shimmering black and bronze number and styled her short hair in loose curls.Speaking at the event, Sarah insisted she isn’t putting acting before her music career. The 31-year-old singer has previously appeared in BBC drama Freefall and St Trinian’s 2.
“I’m not going off to Hollywood and all that jazz. I love singing, music’s my first love. If the right role comes along I’d love to take it, but right now I’m focusing on the tour,” she said.
Sarah is currently getting ready to tour with the band – Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts – this year to celebrate their 10th anniversary reunion. In the British comedy Run For Your Wife, the Denise and Sarah play love rivals married to the same man, portrayed by actor Danny Dyer.
Actor Danny Dyer also confessed he was mistaken for a taxi driver while making his new film.While shooting on location in London Danny was recognized and people thought he had fallen on hard times.
He said at the premiere in Leicester Square: “They had to do some shots of me driving around Soho in the cab and people was like pulling me over and going, ‘Dan, I know your career’s going through a bit of a bad stage, but are you driving a cab now?’
“People actually believed it. It was a bit of a kick in the bum to be honest. I loved making this film. I think I was born for comedy, I really do. It’s just taken me a long time to find it,” he added.
The film features over 80 celebrities that have agreed to make ‘cameo’ appearances and to donate their fees to a theatrical charity.Dame Judi Dench, Ian Cullen, Rolf Harris, Cliff Richard and Andrew Sachs are just some of the famous faced that can be spotted in the comedy.
